Let's begin by saying that, in some respects, there's nothing new here. We're not reinventing the wheel. "Clubs" have been around for a while (Cosco, Sam's). These, by their exclusive nature can offer their "members" benefits that the general public is not privy to. Also, the "pay it forward" method of income has been around, in one form or another, for quite some time. And, for that matter, "discounts" that produce new customers have also been in play. But...what is different?
It was God's direction and divine favor, coupled with Joseph's humility and obedience, that saved Israel's family and gathered all the wealth of Egypt. In the same way it was God's direction and divine favor, coupled with Gideon's humility and obedience that saved Israel from the murderous hordes that were against them; a victory accomplished against hundreds of thousands by a seemingly insignificant contingent; so that God would get the glory!
I believe...no...I am CONVINCED that the Lord wants the Christian Buyers Club to take a leading and very important role in these last days. Look around; have you seen how our once godly culture has slowly been dismantled by those who oppose the ways of the Savior? (I know you have). And, though there are so many of us (Christians), our efforts are sporadic, anemic, disjointed, without unity. We know by experience and observation that any team that does not perform like a team...fails. And...we are failing.
Now, see with me the vision that God has laid on my heart. Christians (real ones) crossing denominational lines, linking together to benefit the body of Christ (society benefiting in the process). Christians, recognizing the worth of fellow believers, preferring one another (Romans 12:10). Christians, like never before, understanding that they really are God's kids, and that that means privilege, authority, coupled with kindness and compassion that can make a real difference; that can be a bright light in this darkening world.
Consider this: Recently I learned that in Madison County, IL, there are approximately 60,000 evangelicals. Sixty thousand! What if, say, ten percent ended up in the Christian Buyers Club? That's six thousand believers, praying, supporting, uniting. What a great influence they could be! And, as our fellow believers--those not yet members--begin to see the difference; they would be drawn. And, as unbelievers see what's going on...they would become very curious. Now...expand the vision to EVERY county in Illinois. NOW, expand the vision to EVERY county in America! Is it too fantastic? Is it too incredible? No...it's God. Honestly, do you think Gideon could have conceived of the final outcome when the angelic visitor first visited him at the winepress? Or, do you think Joseph had the smallest inkling of his divine destiny while he was walking, in bonds, towards Egypt? I believe with all my heart that we are in a "GOD MOMENT"; on the threshold of something momentous. And I've been made to realize, and I want YOU to realize, that together we get to be a part of this God orchestrated...miracle.
So, my fellow Christian believer; I (we) ask you to pray. Pray and ask our heavenly Father what He wants you to do. And, if he leads you to look further...then please use the Contact Page
A Special note to Pastors:
Dear Fellow Pastor,
As a minister of the gospel for over thirty-seven years and, as a pastor in the same area for thirty-three of those years, I have witnessed a terrible injustice concerning God's people. Many of these (and I'm sure you have seen the same thing) work very hard and seemingly have little to show for it. Year after year they struggle to just get by and as they struggle, the work of the church also struggles. Of course, I'm not talking about the spiritual aspect of things--seeking, praying, believing, etc.--but of the tangible necessities that would help the people--and by extension--the church, to do more; give more; offer more.
Troubled by this I began to seek God for an answer and, as you would expect, He led me to His Word. And, yes, as a result the concept for the Christian Buyers Club (CBC) was born. However, what began as a means to offer God's people some financial liberty along with the savings associated with group buying and negotiating has become something more...much more.
Pastor, rejoice with me as I've seen Christians from many denominations as they join in one purpose to support one another, pray for one another, encourage one another. Rejoice with me as I've seen CBC open God-inspired businesses which flourish because they have a faithful clientele from the family of God (CBC members). Rejoice with me as local churches (for CBC is NOT a church) receive strength and support from members no longer impoverished. And, rejoice with me as I've seen an ever growing, united influence for good in a land that oh so needs it!
Man of God, let me conclude by saying, I've been in the Lord's service a long time. I know, first hand, of the kinds of battles you and your family have gone through and are going through now. Sometimes it is a lonely walk; a painful walk; a tearful walk. And, whether you become a member of CBC or not, I ask you to contact me so that we might link the arms of faith. That we might encourage one another; pray for one another; support one another. And please remember; God has raised you up for this time. But He did not mean for you to battle...alone.
In His Service,
Pastor Ronald L. Johnson
Scriptures (in KJV or NKJV)
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand. 5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the Lord was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.
14 And the Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee? 15 And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house. 16 And the Lord said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.
133 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! 2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; 3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; 11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV)
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
18 But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
13 And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Psalm 5:12 (NKJV)
For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.
For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory;
No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
...let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
2 Corinthians 8:9
9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
9 Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: 10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
10 For every beast of the forest is Mine, And the cattle on a thousand hills.
11 I know all the birds of the mountains, And the wild beasts of the field are Mine. 12 If I were hungry, I would not tell you; For the world is Mine, and all its fullness.
Matthew 20:1-16 (NKJV)
20 “For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard. 2 Now when he had agreed with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard. 3 And he went out about the third hour and saw others standing idle in the marketplace, 4 and said to them, ‘You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you.’ So they went. 5 Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did likewise. 6 And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing idle, and said to them, ‘Why have you been standing here idle all day?’ 7 They said to him, ‘Because no one hired us.’ He said to them, ‘You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right you will receive.’
8 “So when evening had come, the owner of the vineyard said to his steward, ‘Call the laborers and give them their wages, beginning with the last to the first.’ 9 And when those came who were hired about the eleventh hour, they each received a denarius. 10 But when the first came, they supposed that they would receive more; and they likewise received each a denarius. 11 And when they had received it, they complained against the landowner, 12 saying, ‘These last men have worked only one hour, and you made them equal to us who have borne the burden and the heat of the day.’ 13 But he answered one of them and said, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius? 14 Take what is yours and go your way. I wish to give to this last man the same as to you. 15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with my own things? Or is your eye evil because I am good?’ 16 So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen.”
12 The Lord has been mindful of us; He will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron. 13 He will bless those who fear the Lord, Both small and great. 14 May the Lord give you increase more and more, You and your children. 15 May you be blessed by the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s; But the earth He has given to the children of men.
And the Lord answered me, and said, "Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it."
